Price: From £295 + VAT

## Problems this solves

- Your team page mixes holiday snaps, cropped wedding photos and passport pictures
- New starters never match the old photos, so the page looks patched together
- People hate having their photo taken and it shows
- Your speaker bio photo is ten years and two hairstyles out of date
- LinkedIn crops the top of your head off in the circle
- Half the team are working from home on shoot day

## Key facts

- Half day from £295 + VAT, full day from £495 + VAT, at your premises
- Same background, lighting height and crop for everyone, so new starters can be matched later
- LinkedIn recommends a 400 × 400 px profile photo, displayed in a circle
- Plain backdrop or environmental (in your office) styles
- Square, 4:5 portrait and wide crops from each chosen frame
- Natural retouching: blemishes and stray hairs, not reshaped faces
- Travel beyond Mansfield and Nottinghamshire added to the quote

## Consistency is the whole point

A single good headshot is easy. A set of thirty that look like they belong together is the real job. That means the same background colour or setting, the same lighting direction and height, the same camera height and the same crop, so eyes sit at roughly the same level across the grid on your team page.

dijitul records the set-up for every headshot day: background, distance, light positions and crop guide. When you hire someone in six months, we can rebuild the same look at your office and their photo slots straight in. Without that record, every new starter becomes an odd one out.

Consistency also covers the edit. Every file in the set gets the same colour treatment, the same contrast and the same amount of retouching, so nobody looks noticeably smoother or warmer than the person beside them. Where people choose their favourite frame, we apply the edit after selection so the whole grid is finished together rather than one at a time. That way a partner photographed at 9am and a trainee photographed at 4pm still look as if they were taken a minute apart.

## Plain backdrop or environmental

There are two main styles, and both can be shot at your premises.

- **Plain backdrop:** a portable grey, white or brand-coloured background. Clean, consistent and easy to cut out. Best for team grids, ID passes and press.
- **Environmental:** the person in your real workspace, with the background softly out of focus. Warmer and more personal, and it shows your premises. Best for about pages, LinkedIn banners and recruitment.

Many firms do both in one session: a plain frame for the grid and an environmental frame for bios. If your brand guidelines specify colours, we can match the backdrop or choose a setting that complements them.

## Sizes for LinkedIn, websites and email

LinkedIn's recommended profile photo size is 400 × 400 pixels, and it displays inside a circle, so the corners are lost. We frame with space above the head and keep shoulders inside the circle. For websites, most team pages use a 4:5 or 1:1 crop; we supply both so your developer can pick. For email signatures, a small square around 100 to 150 pixels wide is plenty, as long as it is exported sharp rather than squashed by the email client.

Press and speaker requests usually ask for high-resolution files, often 300 dpi at a stated print size. Every person gets a full-resolution file as well as the web sizes, so you are not scrambling when a journalist asks.

## Helping nervous people look like themselves

Most people dislike being photographed. The fix is time and direction, not filters. We keep each slot short and relaxed, give clear instructions on posture (weight on the back foot, chin slightly forward), shoot plenty of frames and show people the back of the camera so they can see it is working. Plain, solid colours photograph better than fine stripes or checks, which can shimmer on screen. Glasses wearers can tilt the frames slightly to avoid reflections.

Retouching is natural: temporary blemishes, stray hairs and lint are removed, but faces are not reshaped and permanent features are left alone. People should be recognisable when they walk into a meeting. Extra retouching beyond that is charged at £45 an hour + VAT and agreed first.

## Booking a headshot day

Headshots are priced by time on location: a half day from £295 + VAT or a full day from £495 + VAT. The number of people we can photograph depends on whether you want one style or two and how many people choose their own frames. Send us a headcount, the styles you want and your office address, and we will send a fixed quote including any travel beyond Mansfield and Nottinghamshire. Book a room with space for a background about three metres deep, and schedule people in slots so nobody waits around. Ask for a quote.

## What you get

- Retouched JPEGs for each person, in sRGB
- 400 × 400 px and larger square crops for LinkedIn and email signatures
- 4:5 portrait crops for team pages and speaker bios
- High-resolution versions for print and press
- A note of the lighting set-up and framing so future starters match
- Usage licence covering web, social, print and press

## FAQs

### How much do corporate headshots cost?

dijitul prices headshots by time on location: a half day from £295 + VAT or a full day from £495 + VAT, at your premises. The fixed quote depends on the number of people, the styles you want and any travel beyond Mansfield and Nottinghamshire.

### Can you match headshots for people who join later?

Yes. dijitul records the background, lighting positions, camera height and crop on every headshot day. When new staff join, we rebuild the same set-up at your office so their photo matches the rest of the team page. That is the main reason to use one photographer consistently.

### What size should a LinkedIn profile photo be?

LinkedIn recommends 400 × 400 pixels for profile photos, and displays them in a circle, so leave space above the head and keep shoulders inside the frame. dijitul supplies LinkedIn-ready square crops alongside larger files for websites and print.

### What should I wear for a headshot?

Wear what you would wear to meet a client. Solid, mid-tone colours work best; fine stripes and small checks can shimmer on screen, and very bright white can lose detail. Bring a second top if you are unsure. dijitul can advise on colours that sit well against your chosen background.

### Do you retouch headshots?

Yes, naturally. dijitul removes temporary blemishes, stray hairs and lint and balances skin tones, but does not reshape faces or remove permanent features. People should look like themselves in a meeting. Extra retouching, if requested, is £45 an hour + VAT and agreed beforehand.

### Can remote staff be photographed to match?

Often, yes. dijitul can photograph remote staff on another date using the recorded set-up, either at your office or another agreed location, with travel quoted. Matching headshots taken by different people at home is much harder, so a second session usually gives the best result.
