> dijitul designs vehicle livery for UK businesses: van graphics, full and part wraps, car door panels, trailers and fleet schemes. We design on accurate templates for your exact make, model and wheelbase, then supply scaled vector artwork to your sign fitter. Livery is quoted as a fixed price, with smaller jobs at £45 an hour + VAT.

## Problems this solves

- Your van is a white box that nobody remembers
- The fitter wants vector artwork and you only have a JPG logo
- Your phone number is too small to read in traffic
- Every van in the fleet looks slightly different
- The design looked great flat but the logo got split by the sliding door

## Key facts

- Quoted as a fixed price; simple door panels and updates at £45 an hour + VAT
- Designed on templates for the exact make, model, wheelbase and roof height
- All lettering and logos supplied as vector so they cut and print sharply at full size
- Important text kept off door handles, panel gaps, deep body creases and rivets
- Business name, what you do and a phone number readable from a following car
- Mockups on all sides: nearside, offside, rear and front

## A van is a moving advert

Your van is seen in traffic, parked outside jobs and on driveways in the streets you want to work in. It does the same job as a sign, but people see it for a few seconds while moving. dijitul keeps livery simple: your logo, a short line saying what you do, a phone number and web address big enough to read from the car behind, and enough colour or graphic to be remembered.

The rear doors are often the most-read panel, because drivers stare at them in queues. We make sure the rear has the phone number and service in large lettering, not just the logo. The sides carry the brand and the main message, and the bonnet or front often just needs the logo.

Less is more on a vehicle. A list of ten services in small type is unreadable at a junction, and it dates quickly when your services change. Three or four words that sum up the business, such as 'Plumbing, heating and gas', last longer and read faster. Your web address can carry the detail, and a short, memorable phone number in large figures does more work than any slogan.

## Designing to the exact vehicle

A Transit Custom, a Sprinter and a Berlingo have very different shapes, and the same model comes in several wheelbase and roof height options. We design on accurate scaled templates for your exact vehicle so the artwork fits. Templates show door handles, fuel caps, panel joins, sliding door gaps, windows, lights and the deep body creases that stretch or wrinkle vinyl.

Key text and faces never cross a door gap or sit over a handle, because they will be cut in two when the door opens. Fine detail is kept away from deep recesses where vinyl has to stretch. We still recommend your fitter measures the actual vehicle before production, because add-ons such as roof racks, ladder racks and bulkhead windows change what is visible.

## Cut vinyl, part wrap or full wrap

| Option | What it is | Best for |

| Cut vinyl lettering | Solid colour letters and shapes cut by plotter | Simple, durable and lower cost |
| Printed panels | Printed graphics on specific panels | Photos, gradients, logos with detail |
| Part wrap | Printed or coloured film over part of the body | Strong impact without full-wrap cost |
| Full wrap | Film covering the whole painted body | Maximum impact and colour change |

Cut vinyl needs pure vector artwork in solid colours, no gradients or photos. Printed wraps can include photos, but they need high-resolution images at full vehicle scale, and wraps are best printed on cast vinyl, which conforms to curves better than cheaper calendered film. Your fitter will advise on materials and life expectancy.

Keep the windscreen and front side windows clear. Rear and rear-side windows can carry perforated one-way vision film on many vehicles, but check with your fitter what is allowed for your vehicle and how it affects visibility.

## Fleets and consistency

If you run several vehicles of different sizes, we design one system and adapt it to each: the same logo position, colour band and lettering style, scaled to suit a small car up to a 7.5-tonne truck. That keeps the fleet recognisable and makes adding a new vehicle simple. The livery should also match your workwear, site boards and stationery; see merchandise and clothing design and design for tradespeople. If your logo needs redrawing as a vector first, logo redesign covers that.

## Price and next steps

Vehicle livery design is quoted as a fixed price based on vehicle type, the number of vehicles and whether it is cut vinyl, part wrap or full wrap. Simple door panels or updating a phone number are £45 an hour + VAT. Production and fitting are by a vehicle graphics company, which we can help find through print management. Send your vehicle make, model, wheelbase, roof height and photos of each side to get a quote.

## What you get

- Mockups of all four sides on your vehicle model
- Scaled vector artwork (PDF, EPS or AI) for the fitter
- Separate files for cut vinyl lettering and printed wrap panels
- Colour references (Pantone and vinyl colour suggestions)
- Matching versions for each vehicle size in your fleet

## FAQs

### How much does van livery design cost?

dijitul quotes van livery as a fixed price based on the vehicle, number of vehicles and whether it is cut vinyl, a part wrap or a full wrap. Simple door panels or updates are £45 an hour + VAT. Vinyl and fitting are priced separately by the fitter.

### What information do you need about my van?

The make, model, year, wheelbase and roof height, plus photos of each side, the rear and the front. Mention roof racks, ladder racks or windows that are not standard. dijitul uses that to pick an accurate template and avoid handles, gaps and creases.

### Can I use my logo from my website on my van?

Usually not as it is. Website logos are often small pixel images that blur at van size. Fitters need vector artwork, so dijitul redraws the logo as a vector if needed, which is quoted as part of the livery or charged at £45 an hour + VAT.

### Should I choose cut vinyl or a printed wrap?

Cut vinyl suits simple, solid-colour designs and is usually cheaper and durable. Printed panels and wraps allow photos, gradients and full colour coverage. dijitul designs for either and will suggest what suits your budget and how long you plan to keep the vehicle.

### Do you fit the graphics?

No. dijitul designs the livery and supplies scaled vector files to a vehicle graphics fitter. We can work with your chosen fitter or help find one. The fitter should measure the vehicle before production to confirm the artwork fits.
