Design for Grantham businesses
Grantham is a market town in South Kesteven, Lincolnshire, on the A1 with a station on the East Coast Main Line. Its transport links and easy access to Nottingham via the A52 have made it a practical base for manufacturing, engineering, food production and distribution. The town is known as the birthplace of Margaret Thatcher and for Isaac Newton, who went to school at The King's School, and Belton House, the National Trust estate, is just to the north.
The countryside around Grantham is dominated by farming. Farms, farm shops and rural suppliers need branding that travels from a gate sign to a jar label to a delivery van. Food producers need labels and packaging with legible ingredients and allergen text, plus photography that shows produce honestly for wholesale buyers and online shoppers.
Engineering and manufacturing firms remain a key part of the local economy. They need 2D drawings, 3D models, product photography and catalogues for trade customers. Distribution businesses along the A1 need livery and signage that are readable from the road.
- Farms and farm shops: branding, labels, signage
- Food producers: packaging, product and food photography
- Engineering and manufacturing firms: CAD drawings and catalogues
- Defence contractors around RAF Cranwell: brochures and presentations
- Town centre shops, cafés and pubs: menus and social graphics
RAF Cranwell, home of the RAF College, is a short drive east, so defence contractors and service families add to the local economy. Substantial new housing on the southern edge of town has brought more home-based businesses and trades that need a first logo and business cards. Design is done remotely from Mansfield, and shoots in Grantham are on location, with travel included in the quote.
