Design for Taunton businesses
Taunton is Somerset's county town, and its design work splits between the professional practices in town and the food, farming and construction businesses across the countryside around it.
Solicitors, accountants and land agents serve a rural client base that still reads paper. Their needs are steady and practical: letterhead and compliment slips, Word templates that keep reports on brand, and brochures that explain services in plain language. A brand that has drifted over twenty years often needs a logo redesign rather than a full rebrand.
Somerset's food and drink producers, from cider makers to dairies and farm shops, need labels and packaging that stand up on a deli shelf. Labels must fit the bottle or jar, survive refrigeration if needed, and leave space for the mandatory information you supply. We design to the label printer's template and supply PDFs with the correct bleed and dieline.
The construction work around Hinkley Point C near Bridgwater has brought contractors and supply chain firms into the wider area. They often need tender documents, capability statements, site hoarding graphics and vehicle livery, and sometimes CAD drawings for fabricated parts.
- Professional practices: stationery, report templates, brochures
- Food and drink producers: labels, packaging, product photography
- Agricultural merchants: catalogues, price lists, trade show banners
- Contractors: capability statements, hoardings, vans, CAD drawings
- Town centre shops and cafés: menus, posters, social graphics
Taunton also has a large public sector, with Somerset Council, Musgrove Park Hospital and the UK Hydrographic Office. Suppliers to those organisations benefit from accessible document design: clear type sizes, good contrast and PDFs tagged properly for screen readers.
Because design is remote, a farm on the Blackdown Hills and an office near the M5 at junction 25 get exactly the same service.
