dijitul designs exhibition stand graphics for UK trade shows: shell scheme panels, pop-up and fabric stands, modular walls, counters, roller banners and the leaflets you hand out. Stand graphics are quoted as a fixed price, with smaller jobs at £45 an hour + VAT. Artwork is built to your stand supplier's templates and the organiser's exhibitor manual.

Sound familiar?

  • Your stand is lost among hundreds of others
  • Your logo is hidden behind visitors standing at the counter
  • You have a shell scheme space and no idea what size the panels are
  • The organiser's deadline for graphics is close and nothing is designed
  • Your pop-up stand graphics are worn and out of date

Key facts

  • Quoted as a fixed price; smaller jobs and edits at £45 an hour + VAT
  • Built to the stand supplier's templates for shell scheme, pop-up, fabric or modular systems
  • Main message placed above head height (roughly 2 m and up) so it is seen across a busy hall
  • Large format usually supplied at 1:1 or to scale (often 1:10) as the producer specifies
  • Fabric (dye-sublimation) graphics need different colour handling from printed rigid panels
  • Matching banners, leaflets and giveaways designed as one set

What visitors see first

At a busy show, visitors scan the hall from the aisle while walking. They see the top of your stand first, because the bottom is hidden by people. dijitul puts your name and a one-line answer to 'what do you do?' above head height, roughly 2 m and up, then supporting points at eye level, and nothing important below waist height, where it will be blocked by counters, chairs and visitors.

We keep text to a minimum. A stand is a backdrop for a conversation, not a brochure on a wall. Detail goes in the leaflets and on a QR code to a landing page.

Shell scheme, pop-up, fabric or modular

  • Shell scheme: the organiser provides walls and a fascia name board. You add graphic panels, often printed onto foamex or vinyl, cut to the wall panel sizes in the exhibitor manual.
  • Pop-up stands: a folding frame with printed panels or a single fabric skin. Reusable and quick to set up.
  • Fabric tension systems: printed fabric with silicone edges that push into aluminium frames. Light to carry and creases fall out when tensioned.
  • Modular and custom builds: larger stands built by a contractor, with graphics supplied to their drawings.

Each system has its own template, with bleed, visible area and joins marked. We work from the supplier's or contractor's template every time, and we avoid putting faces or text across panel joins.

Files, colour and scale

Stand graphics are big, so files are usually built at 1:1 at 100 to 150 dpi, or at a stated scale such as 1:10 with resolution raised to match. Logos and text are vector. Fabric graphics are printed by dye-sublimation, which can shift some colours compared with ink on board, so where brand colour matters we ask the producer for a printed sample before the full run. If your stand mixes fabric and rigid panels, we flag where they will sit side by side, because that is where a colour difference is most visible.

Organisers often ask for stand materials to be flame retardant and for drawings or graphics to be approved by a deadline. Those rules are in the exhibitor manual, so send it with your brief.

Everything else on the stand

A stand works best when everything around it matches: roller banners for the corners, a counter wrap, leaflets or a short brochure to hand out, name badges, and branded clothing and giveaways. We design them as a set so the stand looks planned. Digital screens on the stand need RGB files or a short looping video, which our motion graphics service can produce.

Making the stand earn its cost

Shows are expensive once you add space, travel and staff time, so the graphics should help you collect leads, not just look smart. We design a clear offer or reason to stop, such as a demo, a show-only price or a prize draw, and give it a place on the stand. A QR code to a short landing page or enquiry form makes follow-up easier than a pile of business cards. After the show, the same artwork can be reused for your website, social posts and the next event, so we keep the files organised and editable. If you exhibit several times a year, a reusable fabric or pop-up stand with swappable panels usually works out cheaper than one-off shell scheme graphics each time.

Price and planning

Exhibition stand graphics are quoted as a fixed price based on the stand type, the number of panels and the extra items you need. Smaller jobs, such as updating existing pop-up graphics, are £45 an hour + VAT. Printing and the stand hardware come from your stand supplier, or we can source them through print management. Send the exhibitor manual, stand size and supplier template to get a quote, ideally well before the organiser's graphics deadline.

What you get

Frequently asked questions

How much does exhibition stand design cost?

dijitul quotes exhibition stand graphics as a fixed price based on the stand type, number of panels and extra items such as banners and leaflets. Smaller updates are charged at £45 an hour + VAT. The stand hardware and printing are priced separately.

What do I need to send for a shell scheme stand?

Send the exhibitor manual or panel sizes, your stand number and dimensions, your logo files and the key messages. dijitul builds graphic panels to the exact wall sizes and supplies the fascia name in the format the organiser asks for.

Can you update graphics for our existing pop-up stand?

Yes. Send us the make and model of the pop-up or the supplier's template, and dijitul will design new panels to fit the frame you already own. That is often charged at £45 an hour + VAT rather than a full stand quote.

Why do fabric stand graphics look different in colour?

Fabric graphics are usually printed by dye-sublimation, which handles some colours differently from ink on rigid board. dijitul flags brand colours that may shift and recommends a printed sample from the producer before the full run.

Do you build the stand itself?

No. dijitul designs the graphics and supplies print-ready files. The stand hardware, printing and installation come from a stand supplier or contractor. We can work with yours or help source one through our print management service.
