Design for Kirkcaldy businesses
Kirkcaldy is the Lang Toun, named for its long main street along the Firth of Forth. Adam Smith was born here, and the town grew on linoleum. Forbo still produces floor coverings in Kirkcaldy, and that manufacturing tradition carries through to the food producers and engineering firms on the industrial estates around the town.
Manufacturers need product literature that matches the quality of what they make: sample books, specification sheets, product photography and trade show graphics. For pattern and surface products, colour accuracy matters, so we work with Pantone references and printed proofs rather than relying on a screen.
Food producers in Fife need packaging and labels that work in supermarkets, delis and farm shops. Dielines, bleed and the mandatory information you supply all have to be right before anything goes to press.
Offshore wind is a growing local market, centred on Fife Energy Park along the coast at Methil, and contractors working there need capability brochures, technical drawings and clear diagrams for bids.
- Manufacturers: specification sheets, sample books, product photography
- Food producers: packaging, labels, trade price lists
- Renewable energy contractors: brochures, CAD, infographics
- Care providers: brochures, recruitment adverts, signage
- High Street shops and cafés: logos, menus, posters, social graphics
As the town centre changes, more Kirkcaldy businesses sell online or by appointment rather than relying on passing trade. That shifts the design priority from window posters towards good photography, consistent social media graphics and email newsletters that bring customers back.
Victoria Hospital, Fife's main acute hospital, and Fife College's large campus add health and education organisations to the mix, along with care providers who need warm, honest brochures and recruitment material. Glenrothes, a few miles inland, brings electronics and defence manufacturers with their own technical design needs.
