Design for Scotland businesses
Scotland's design work follows its industries closely. Food and drink is the obvious one: whisky, gin, smoked salmon, seafood, shortbread and specialist producers selling in shops, online and abroad. Those businesses need labels, gift boxes and outer cases laid out to a printer's dieline, with barcodes, batch areas and allergen text that stay legible at small sizes. The same producers want product photography that works on a white background for marketplaces and in context for their own website.
Edinburgh's banks, insurers, fund managers and law firms produce a lot of documents: annual reports, pitch books, client guides and slide decks. That work is less about a new logo and more about brand guidelines and templates that make forty people's documents look like they came from one firm. Glasgow mixes professional services, engineering and a large creative scene, so we see requests for both corporate stationery and illustration.
Aberdeen grew on North Sea oil and gas and is now heavily involved in offshore wind. Energy and engineering suppliers there need technical drawings, DWG and DXF files for fabricators, STEP models for partners and clear diagrams for tenders and safety documents. Dundee's games heritage brings occasional icon and illustration work.
- Distilleries and food producers: labels, packaging, product photography
- Tourism operators in the Highlands and islands: brochures, maps, menus and signage
- Energy and engineering firms: CAD, technical drawings and 3D renders
- University spin-outs in Edinburgh, Glasgow, St Andrews, Aberdeen and Dundee: a first brand and pitch deck
Some public-facing organisations also want Gaelic alongside English. We can lay out bilingual signage and leaflets from text you supply. All design is done remotely from Mansfield over video calls and shared PDF proofs. Photography trips to Scotland are quoted with travel included before you commit.

Frequently asked questions
Can you design whisky or gin labels for a Scottish distillery?
Yes. We design labels and gift packaging to your label printer's dieline, with CMYK or Pantone colours, varnish or foil layers set up separately and text sized to stay readable. Packaging and label design is quoted as a fixed price, or charged at £45 an hour + VAT for smaller changes.
Will you travel to Scotland for a photography shoot?
Yes. dijitul media shoots on location, so we come to your distillery, hotel or factory. Photography starts from £295 + VAT for a half day and £495 + VAT for a full day, and travel from Mansfield is added to the quote so you know the total before booking.
Can you lay out materials in Gaelic and English?
Yes, from translated text you supply or your translator provides. We set both languages with consistent hierarchy, check that every character renders correctly in the chosen fonts and send a proof for your translator to sign off before files go to print.
