Stationery that carries the regulatory wording

Regulated firms have rules about what goes on letters, emails and websites, and those details are easiest to get right in a template. For solicitors, the SRA Transparency Rules require authorised firms to show their SRA number and the words 'authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority' on letterhead and emails, and to display the SRA's digital badge in a prominent place on their website. Freelance solicitors are not allowed to use the badge.

Every limited company or LLP also has trading disclosure duties under the Companies (Trading Disclosures) Regulations 2008: registered name, number, place of registration and registered office on letters, order forms and the website. If a letter names any director other than as a signatory, it must name them all. We build these into letterheads from £75 + VAT and into email signatures, so fee earners cannot accidentally delete them.

Professional body logos: ICAEW and others

Professional body marks have their own rules. ICAEW says member firms that meet its requirements may use the ICAEW Chartered Accountants member firm logo on stationery and marketing, on its own or with the line 'A member of the ICAEW Practice Assurance Scheme', and that the logos cannot be used for any other purpose. A practice using the description 'Chartered Accountants' or the member firm mark must also distinguish between chartered accountants and other people named on its letterhead.

We use only the logo files your professional body supplies, follow their clear space and minimum size guidance, and mark partners' qualifications clearly so the letterhead stays accurate when people join or leave. If you leave a scheme or a firm loses an accreditation, every template, sign and web page carrying the mark needs updating, so we keep a simple list of where each one appears. The same approach applies to RICS, CIOT, STEP, Law Society accreditation marks and others.

A brand that doesn't look like everyone else's

Many firms default to navy, serif type and a pair of initials. That is safe but forgettable. A good professional brand identity from £395 + VAT can still feel trustworthy while being recognisable on a crowded list of search results or a conference programme. Think about a distinctive colour, a clean type pairing and a consistent way of using photos and charts.

After a merger or partner change, a rebrand is also a chance to tidy every template at once. We keep a checklist of each item that carries the firm name so nothing old lingers in a forgotten document.

Proposals, reports and presentations

Much of a firm's design is in documents people build every day. We create Word templates for proposals, engagement letters, reports and fee schedules using proper styles, so headings, numbering and tables behave. A matching PowerPoint master means seminar slides and pitch decks look like the same firm. Template work is charged at £45 an hour + VAT or quoted.

For annual reviews, client guides and recruitment brochures, brochures start from £295 + VAT. Charts and diagrams that explain a process, such as a conveyancing timeline or a tax-year calendar, are often the most shared item a firm produces.

Headshots that match across the whole team

Client-facing professionals need a current, consistent headshot on the website, LinkedIn and proposals. We shoot headshots at your office from £295 + VAT for a half day, using the same background, lighting and crop for everyone, so new joiners can be photographed later to match. We agree the look first: plain or office background, standing or seated, formal or relaxed, and whether you want a second, wider shot of each person for proposals and speaker profiles. Each person sees a short selection and picks their preferred image before retouching, which is limited to tidying stray hairs, blemishes and colour rather than changing how anyone looks. Travel outside the Mansfield and Nottinghamshire area is quoted. If your website needs updating to carry the new brand, our sister company builds sites at dijitul.uk.

Frequently asked questions

What must a solicitor's letterhead show?

Under the SRA Transparency Rules, an authorised firm's letterhead and emails must show its SRA number and the words 'authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority'. As a company or LLP it also needs Companies Act trading disclosures. dijitul builds both into letterhead and email templates from £75 + VAT.

Where does the SRA digital badge need to go?

The SRA requires authorised firms to display its digital badge in a prominent place on their website, alongside their SRA number. Freelance solicitors must not use the badge. dijitul places the badge using the SRA's own code and artwork, typically in the header or footer of every page.

Can our accountancy firm use the ICAEW logo?

Member firms that meet ICAEW's requirements can use its member firm logo on stationery and marketing, following ICAEW's guidelines. Firms using it must also distinguish chartered accountants from other people named on the letterhead. dijitul uses only the official files ICAEW supplies.

How much does a professional services rebrand cost?

dijitul's brand identity packs start from £395 + VAT, with logos from £150 + VAT and business cards or letterheads from £75 + VAT. Template work for proposals and reports is charged at £45 an hour + VAT. You get a fixed price for the whole rebrand before we start.

Can you photograph our whole team for the website?

Yes. dijitul shoots team headshots at your office from £295 + VAT for a half day, using the same background, lighting and crop for everyone so new joiners can be matched later. Travel beyond Mansfield and Nottinghamshire is added to the quote.
