Design for Colchester businesses
Colchester, which became a city in 2022, claims to be Britain's oldest recorded town: the Romans made Camulodunum their first capital here, and the castle and Roman walls still bring in visitors. Heritage and leisure shape a lot of its design work. Colchester Castle, Colchester Zoo, the nearby coast and Dedham Vale bring visitors year-round, and attractions, cafés and holiday accommodation need:
- Leaflets, maps and seasonal event posters, set up for DL, A5 and A-board sizes
- Ticket, voucher and membership card designs
- Social media templates and digital adverts for school holidays and events
- Photography of the place and people enjoying it, rather than stock images
Food is a strong local thread too. Tiptree, home of Wilkin and Sons jams, is nearby, and farms and small producers across north Essex sell through farm shops, delis and online. They need labels, packaging, gift boxes and product photography that hold their own next to bigger brands.
The University of Essex at Wivenhoe Park is strong in data science and AI, and the start-ups on its Knowledge Gateway research park need a brand, pitch decks and diagrams. Colchester Hospital, private clinics and therapy practices need patient leaflets and calm, trustworthy branding. Colchester Garrison supports a range of local service businesses, and estate agents, solicitors, trades and retailers fill the centre and the business parks near the A12. We design everything remotely from Mansfield and agree a fixed price before we start; printing can be arranged and quoted separately. Photography and filming take place at your premises in Colchester, with travel from Mansfield quoted first.

Frequently asked questions
Can you design leaflets for a Colchester attraction?
Yes. Leaflets and flyers start from £95 + VAT. dijitul supplies print-ready PDFs at standard sizes such as DL and A5, with 3 mm bleed and CMYK colour, plus matching social media graphics if you want to promote the same event online. Printing can be arranged and quoted separately.
Do you design packaging for north Essex food producers?
We do. Packaging and labels are quoted per job or charged at £45 an hour + VAT. Artwork is built on your printer's dieline or label size, with ingredients, allergens and barcodes laid out clearly, and supplied as print-ready PDF plus editable source files.
Do you work with businesses in Wivenhoe, Tiptree and Clacton?
Yes. All design is remote, so firms in Wivenhoe, Tiptree, Clacton-on-Sea, Coggeshall and Mersea work with dijitul the same way as Colchester businesses. Photography and video visits are quoted individually with travel included.
