Design for Portsmouth businesses
Portsmouth is Britain's only island city and has been home to the Royal Navy for centuries. HMNB Portsmouth is the base for much of the surface fleet, including the aircraft carriers, and a large supply chain of shipbuilding, maintenance, engineering and electronics firms works around it, with BAE Systems among the major employers.
Engineering and defence suppliers need precise, controlled drawings more often than marketing: 2D fabrication drawings with tolerances and revision blocks, 3D models exported as STEP, conversions of legacy paper drawings, and technical drawings laid out to BS 8888 conventions. Their marketing material tends to be sober and factual: capability statements, case study templates, trade show graphics and product sheets. We never need access to classified information to do this; we work only from what you are cleared to share.
Heritage and tourism sit right beside the naval base. The Historic Dockyard, with HMS Victory, HMS Warrior and the Mary Rose, the Spinnaker Tower and Gunwharf Quays draw large numbers of visitors. Attractions and tour operators need visitor leaflets, maps, signage and photography. Southsea adds a seafront, independent shops, cafés and an evening economy that needs menus, posters and social graphics.
Portsmouth International Port runs ferries to France, Spain and the Channel Islands, supporting travel and freight firms. The University of Portsmouth is a large employer with a big student population, and Lakeside North Harbour in Cosham is the main office park.
