Design for Southampton businesses
Southampton is built around its port. It is one of the UK's busiest container ports and the country's leading cruise port, and Carnival UK, which runs P&O Cruises and Cunard, is headquartered in the city. A long supply chain of freight forwarders, ship agents, provisioning firms, marine engineers and logistics operators works around the docks.
Port and marine businesses need design that explains a service clearly to buyers who are often abroad: capability brochures, service sheets, trade show stands, vessel and equipment diagrams, and websites that need technical illustrations. Marine engineers frequently need CAD: 2D drawings of brackets and fabrications, 3D models of equipment, or old drawings converted to DWG. Our CAD design work is charged at the hourly design rate and supplied in standard formats such as DWG, DXF and STEP.
The city also has a strong research base. The University of Southampton is known for engineering, electronics and oceanography, the National Oceanography Centre sits on the waterfront, and Ordnance Survey has its headquarters here. Southampton Science Park at Chilworth hosts tech spin-outs that need pitch decks, product renders and brand identities.
WestQuay and the city centre support retail and hospitality, with a large student population from the university and Solent University. Cruise days bring visitors through the city, which matters to tour operators, cafés and restaurants that need leaflets, menus and signage visible to people with a few hours ashore.
