Design for Aylesbury businesses
Aylesbury is the county town of Buckinghamshire and home to Buckinghamshire Council, so public administration and the businesses that supply it are a large part of the economy. Suppliers and consultancies need tender documents, case studies and report templates, often with accessible PDF versions for publication.
Healthcare has a special place in the town's story. Stoke Mandeville Hospital is home to the National Spinal Injuries Centre, and the Stoke Mandeville Games held there are recognised as the forerunner of the Paralympic movement. Care providers, clinics and healthcare suppliers in the area need patient leaflets, service guides and recruitment material. Healthcare print works best with large, clear type, good contrast and plain language, which is a design decision as much as a writing one.
Food production matters too. Arla Foods runs a large dairy at Aston Clinton just outside the town, and the wider Vale has farms, equestrian businesses and rural food producers who need labels, farm shop signage and product photography. To the west, Westcott Venture Park, a former rocket testing site, hosts space propulsion and advanced engineering firms that need CAD models, technical drawings and renders.
Aylesbury is growing quickly, with large housing developments such as Kingsbrook and Berryfields. New estates bring housebuilders, trades and local services. Housebuilders and estate agents need development brochures, site hoardings and floor plans for marketing, while trades need van graphics and leaflets. The Waterside Theatre and Friars Square support retail and leisure in the town centre.
